Larry Alexander
President
Mr. Alexander has been an engineer and water treatment professional for over 20 years working in
industrial plants and the healthcare industry. Mr. Alexander served as a Lead Engineer, Lead
Chemist, and Project Engineer working for Exelon in the nuclear power industry managing the
performance of systems that support power production, and managing water quality to improve
performance and reduce corrosion. Some of these years was spent working with Nalco at power
plants managing their chemical injection equipment, monitoring plant performance, and reducing
costs.
He has also worked with the kidney dialysis industry since 1998. In the dialysis industry, he was
the water treatment manager for Everest Healthcare which managed dialysis clinics across the
United States until Everest was purchased by Fresenius. He has also worked for Aksys helping
them implement their dialysis machine into homes across the United States.
Mr. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of
Illinois and has been certified by the Water Quality Association as a Certified Water Specialists VI.
He is a member of the Water Quality Association (WQA), the National Association of Nephrology
Technicians/Technologists (NANT), and the Association for the Advancement of Medical
Instrumentation (AAMI). Mr. Alexander also serves on AAMI’s Renal Disease and Detoxification
Committee. This committee is responsible for writing the AAMI guidelines.
